Shahrul Amam Ahmad : Business is a donation and help disabled people back to happiness

              Alami news:  How many people think that his business is more than the trade?  But he thinks this is a donation.

             Shahrul Amam Ahmad, Managing Director of  E-MAS MEDICRESOURCE Sdn, Bhd, is a supplier and manufacturer of medical devices in Malaysia. He mentioned about his access to this business by saying that before he had many business. However, in 2005, he started thinking that why business like to distribute medical device and equipment for the disabled people in Malaysia is so expensive, and it does not have funds to assist the poor. Most importantly, there is no Muslim entrepreneur for 100 percent.

             “  I started my work by using my private capital. In that year, I had only 20,000 RM or about 200,000 Bath (two hundred thousand), and I gave a name to my company as E-MAS MEDICRESOURCE Ddn,Bhd ”.

               Sharul is the former financier and has many experiences. He used to work at May Bank for more than 10 years before moving to a construction business.

               He stated that his customers are mostly from the government hospital in the country and the disabled people, including the rental of medical equipment to the hospitals as well as those who need to use the medical devices. His business is growing nicely, and he currently has 3 branches.

                The first branch is opened in 2005, and it is located at Seri Kembangan  before moving to Bangi city in Selangor.  In 2010, the second branch is started at Sungai Petani  in Kedah. Because business is well done, he opened the third branch in 2012, and it is located at Kuantan in Selangor. Most importantly, all staffs are Muslim. Currently, there are 5 companies who do this kind of business in Malaysia, but his company is the only company that belongs to Muslim owner.

             “ Most of our products are imported from China and Hong Kong. However, for the prosthesis, we produce by ourselves by using standard materials that are imported from Switzerland.  We have a very professional staff for the techniques and they graduated directly from this field. Currently, we supply medical devices, such as prosthetics, wheelchairs, and electric beds, including hearing aids”.                 

             Shahrul said that in the future, we will expand into neighboring countries like Thailand. He will also expand the funds to help the poor.

              Most importantly, we always realize that this business is a donation. We help Muslim, and we want to see the disabled people can return to the normal life. It is like giving happiness to others.
